Is there a source for this flag? Is it based on a historic image or some old textual description of a flag? It seems slightly odd that a modern-looking western-style flag would be used in 16th century Persia... -- 13:26, 27 January 2013‎ User:Bobrayner

If you look at en:Flag of Iran, it's presumably the "green flag with a golden full moon" packaged into a quasi-anachronistic rectangular format... AnonMoos (talk) 23:23, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
