Isn't this, in fact, the flag of St. Andrew? Entitled to be displayed by any country that puts themselves under his patronage? E.g., Greece, Russia, Burgundy (Duchy of) etc., etc.,
Just as a red cross on a white background is the flag of St George, (patron saint of Georgia, Portugal, Catalonia, Genoa, etc., etc., ) not the flag of England?
