File talk:Flag of UNESCO.svg
All the images which show directly UNESCO items are not allowed to be located in wikimedia, because UNESCO has reserved all the rights of usage. 17.55, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
If I'm not right, please tell me and also delete the emblem 'copyright' which is being used in | World Heritage Emblem. If we agree with using UNESCO signs, we should do it in each example. 19.05, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
- Flags are fundamentally different from other signs. —Nightstallion (?) 19:09, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
O.K. there is a difference but a flag is kind of sign and it is a flag of organisation that has reserved all the rights. So should I understand that existing flag of UNESCO in wikimedia is possible and e.g. World Heritage Emblem or impossible? Look at this example: | Flag of World Heritage it is called 'flag' but is exactly the same (or even worse copy), like World Heritage Emblem. We ought to treat them equally - to delete or not to delete. Asteq 10.14, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
I've just given 'copyright' sign in [1] to make people interest this situation. According to the sb's speech before, I want to express that Wiki is not place for 'fair use' graphics, I'm for consistence too. 18.00, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
- "Reserved all rights of usage" has got nothing to do with copyright, nothing at all. I've reverted. —Nightstallion (?) 19:26, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
That's all O.K., thank you for informations. Best regards. 9.56, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- Gladly. =] —Nightstallion (?) 15:17, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
It sound's like that: freely used and copied for educational and other non-commercial purposes [2]. If it's only for non-commercial use it can't be on commons. Radomil talk 15:31, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- But you omitted: "This information may be freely used ..." The sentence refers to the information on this web site, not on this flag (which even ist not shown there.)--Bjs 18:36, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- Disclamer is about whole content of UNESCO page - graphics are also informations, read whole disclamer. Radomil talk 22:33, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Remember that if sign that is unfree (in this case only for non commercial use) is not going to be PD just because it is on flag. It isn't flag of state but flag of organisation! Radomil talk 19:35, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
