Greetings all,

Nice work on the green and gold flag, one still favoured by many Cook Islanders.

Not trying to nitpick but I remember the green and gold being a slightly more vibrant green, closer to the aussie sports green. But it has been a long time and memories do play tricks.

This is the correct design.

The legislation makes it abundantly clear that the stars MUST be on the fly (i.e. in the right half of the design).

The Cook Islands Ensign Act of 1973 states:

"The Cook Islands National Ensign shall be described as follows: ‘The Cook Islands National Flag shall be a green Ensign, having on the fly thereof a circle of 15 gold stars.’"

The Act is available at: https://web.archive.org/web/20110301044029/http://www.paclii.org/ck/legis/num_act/ciea1973194/

The other, incorrect design (which wrongly shows the stars centred on the field) should be deleted from Wikimedia completely because it is an imaginary flag. 1.126.105.77 12:22, 23 February 2022 (UTC)[回复]
