Dating[编辑]

The dating given "1549-50" is unsourced. It is not part of the source and unlikely for various reasons:

  • there was no Cardinal Mattei in the Papal conclave, 1549–50 (there was a Cardinal Bernardino Maffei, but the name on the ballot clearly reads "Mattei", not "Maffei")
  • typesetting and ornaments rather suggest a much later origin than the 16th century

The source also shows the same ballot unfolded, stating the voter's name as Cardinal Guibert. For this reason, the Papal conclave, 1878 seems to be the most likely guess, for it was the only conclave that Cardinal Joseph-Hippolyte Guibert attended, and also Cardinal Ruggero Luigi Emidio Antici Mattei. --FordPrefect42 (talk) 10:47, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[回复]

It is also not 1878 as stated in the description because no Cardinal Mattei took part in the Conclave that year. However, a Cardinal Mario Mattei took part in the Conclave of 1846. He was not alive in 1878 any more. So it's most likely from that year. --Maxl (留言) 18:55, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[回复]
Wrong. According to [1] and [2], Ruggero Luigi Emidio Antici Mattei (1811-1883) took part in the 1878 papal conclave. --FordPrefect42 (留言) 22:56, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[回复]
