Ratio label

[編集]

The ratio labels are the wrong way around here. The ratios that are usually used are meant to be for number of orbits not diameters. Ganymede does 1 orbit for every 2 of Europa's, for every 4 of Io's. So:

  • Ganymede 1 to Io 4 (i.e. 1:4, not 4:1)
  • Europa 1 to Io 2 (i.e. 1:2 not 2:1)
  • Io 1 to Io 1

Resolution

[編集]

Matma Rex claims the version of 16 feb 2011 to be much nicer than the previous one(s). But he did not state that it only works when it is diplayed in full 365 × 245 resolution. The other ones are scalable; this one isn't, at least, the moons don't move when it is displayed in a smaller size. I hope this can be changed too, in combination with the above suggestion for improvement. - Wikiklaas (talk) 16:08, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[返信]

The Problems of scalability come from the 12.5 megapixel limit. The current file has 365*245*288=25.75 MP, twice the "allowed" size. Greetings Jahobr (talk) 11:01, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[返信]

Ratios of orbital periods

[編集]

In gif actual ratios of orbital periods are 1:3:5 ( Europa's is three times Io's, and Ganymede's is five times Io's). It's wrong. --IGW (トーク) 18:47, 12 September 2016 (UTC)[返信]

They look correct to me. For each orbit of Ganymede, Io completes 4 orbits, and Europa completes 2 orbits. Matma Rex (トーク) 20:13, 12 September 2016 (UTC)[返信]
