The location of Lahnau-Dorlar is wrong. It is placed at the wrong river (Main instead of Lahn), also note that its correct location is outside the limes. next to Waldgirnes. The German entry de:Römerlager Lahnau-Dorlar contains the correct coordinates.--Kmhkmh (對話) 05:35, 23 July 2017 (UTC)
nice map, but - sorry to say - there are many mistakes (beside the above said).
1) What's the time? The Sugambri (not "Sigambri") ended 8 B.C., the Limes was built around 100 years later. So it's round about 1st century.
2) Germania - from Rhine to Elbe - was never a roman province; only the roman occupied parts in the west got later the status of provinces (Germania superior/inferior). So the map title is not correct. Better: "Western Germania magna" or something like that.
3) There were surely no roman "roads", just roman routes in the middle of Germania.
Details from north to south:
4) Burcana/Burchanis is NOT Borkum but "Bant". This island is not longer existing. It was situated betwenn Borkum and the (modern) city "Norden".
5) Amsivarii and Chasuari are to far in the north, Cauci to far in the east.
6) Angrivarii are to far in the west, Langobardi to far in the south.
7) "Tecelia" maybe there (we don't know exactly), but there is no evidence, that it ever had been used as a "Marching Camp/small fortification". Same for "Treva".
8) Bentumersiel: placed correct, but we don't know the function. It's a "Stapelplatz" (don't know the english expression); there is absolutely no evidence for a roman "Marching Camp/small fortification".
9) Nobody knows exactly how Varus came to Kalkriese, but he started from Visurgis/Weser and not at the Albis/Elbe
10) Porta Westfalica is a landmark (near Minden) and not a city or a "Marching Camp/small fortification". It's placed to far in the south.
11) Holsterhausen, Olfen, Kneblinghausen, and Hachelbich are to far in the north; Hedemünden is placed at the wrong river (not Leine, but Werra)
12) I think it's not possible to spell "Catti" instead ot "Chatti".
13) "Hermunduri" not "Ermunduri"; "Semnoni" not "Senoni". --Bernd Preiss (對話) 10:36, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
