Celtic language distribution in the UK

[編集]

I don't think that much of the UK is Welsh dominated? It's a much stronger living language than the other Celtic languages, but that area is most of Wales where there a are lot of monolingual English speakers, and most Welsh speakers are bilingual? Possibly it should be mostly spotted or striped to show both English and Welsh? Unless all the English speakers are in Cardiff and that peninsular, that do seem to be shaded already? I don't think there are any areas of Scotland where a Celtic language is dominant either? So possibly that should be stripes of spots, or something else, to indicate Scots/English is in those areas with another language? The areas in Ireland look about right as areas where the main language in use would be Irish? But if we are using a pattern on the areas of Scotland that have two languages, maybe the whole of the Republic of Ireland should be the same pattern too?
