Blazon of Arms
[编辑]The blazon given in every edition of Burke's and every edition of Debrett's that I have viewed (close to 12 editions) all give: Sable three Lozenges conjoined in fess Ermine. The General Armory (1884) gives the same. None give fusils instead of lozenges. But some *incorrectly* illustrate the lozenges elongated. These arms were matriculated in Scotland in 1984 for a descendant of Lady Clare Giffard (dau. of 3rd Earl of Halsbury) who m. 1964 Colonel Oliver Lindsay as "Sable three Lozenges conjoined in fess Ermine (see Lyon Register, Vol 66, folio 112).
Suggest adjust illustration of these arms to show: Sable three Lozenges conjoined in fess Ermine. Chrislindesay (留言) 01:24, 8 June 2023 (UTC)
