South Asia
[编辑]- Papers on Indian/South Asian genetics are quite different from other World Regions since most of the time researches are based on Specific Tribes or Castes which constitute a much lower percentage of the region's total population and this need to kept in mind when creating a map. You need to check Indian Census Data for that.
- The Sengupta et al. 2006 paper only studied three tribal populations from Central India namely Halba, Kamar and Muria. Tribal populations constitute a small percentage of the region's population. The states in the region is dominated by Indo-Aryan caste groups. See the 52nd Report of the Commissioner for Linguistic Minorities from Ministry of Minority Affairs India
- In the Sengupta study, a lot of Brahmins and Tribals were tested. Brahmins typically are about 7-8% of the any region's population on an average and Tribes constitute far less. Representing them as it is in the map would be wrong.
- This Map correctly represents the percentage of Haplogroup H in "total population" of the states of Gujarat (13.8%), Punjab (4.6%) and West Bengal (9.7%) as tested in [Kivisild 2003.
- I suggest you modify the percentages of SE Asia and Nepal on this map. The Indian part is OK. - Fylindfotberserk (留言) 08:34, 21 January 2019 (UTC)
- Ok, i agree. I will correct the areas of southeast Asia. Thank you. Satoshi Kondo (留言) 15:00, 24 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Satoshi Kondo: Nice but you have changed/used darker color (10-25%) for West Bengal area which only showed 9.7% in the study. Kindly revert it back to the original lighter 2-10% color as in this map. By and large, the South Asian part is OK and I'll make future changes to it correlating census data of the region with the tested population so as not to under or over represent it here . But for now leave it as it is. - Fylindfotberserk (留言) 15:58, 24 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Satoshi Kondo: Hello ! - Fylindfotberserk (留言) 16:15, 28 January 2019 (UTC)
- Hello?, you can revert it back or change it if you want. Or do you mean I should revert it back? I think i misinterpreted the "But for now leave it as it is.". So I will revert it to original version, and you will fix it? Satoshi Kondo (留言) 18:32, 28 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Satoshi Kondo: Actually I asked you to revert back only the South Asian part which is by and large OK. You can re add the Cambodian 16.6% part for now which is as per Sengupta paper but the no. of samples is too low (only 6 samples). I think other research papers on Cambodia need to be looked for. - Fylindfotberserk (留言) 16:03, 29 January 2019 (UTC)
- Ok, i will reupload the version with only Khmer data. Satoshi Kondo (留言) 19:37, 29 January 2019 (UTC)

February 2020
[编辑]@LenguaMapa: Hi, the recent change you made doesn't seem to do justice to the percentage of H in northern-most part of the Indian sub-continent. H is greater than 2 % in all ethnic groups in that part. See this. The Indian Punjabis have it at 4.6% and Pakistanis Punjabis >6%. The Kashmiris and Himachal Brahmins at around 10%. Pakistani Pashtuns 14% and the Chitralis like Kalash have it above 20. Kindly do the needful changes. I believe the older one was OK when it comes to NW India and Pakistan. - Fylindfotberserk (留言) 09:58, 20 February 2020 (UTC)
- Hello, ok I have reverted it back to the older version. I will search about it and if necessary do some changes regarding Southeast Asia.LenguaMapa (留言) 18:27, 20 February 2020 (UTC)
