Yes, you're right. The correct source is http://collections.nmm.ac.uk/collections/objects/14605.html and Baffin isn't mentioned there in any way. Also the painting bears the inscription 'Aetatis 23 / Anno 1624', which means that the sitter was born around 1601. So, according to this information it can't be Baffin, who died in 1622. I think I may have found the cause of this confusion. The article on the english wiki contains the following notice: "There is no known portrait of Baffin: shown is a generic "Navigator with Globe", dated 1624 and attributed to Dutch artist Hendrik van der Borcht".
