You're absolutely right. The imaga is completely wrong. -> Helaas, dit is een prachtige foto maar de routes die zijn aangegeven kloppen niet. Ook de Lhotse en Nuptse zijn niet zichtbaar op de foto, want deze liggen links van de Everest in de wolken. Dit is overigens vrij eenvoudig af te leiden. De foto is gemaakt/gecomposeerd vanuit Tibet dat in het Noorden ligt. Met name de Nuptse ligt ten zuiden van Everest en zou dus nooit in de foto voor everest kunnen liggen. I'm not sure what the first comment is saying, as the Lhotse/Everest designations are correct. I have no idea what the Dutch comment says. However, there are a number of corrections that need to be made. (1) Chomo Lonzo is misidentified in this picture. The arrow points to Kangchungtse, the northwestern subpeak of Makalu. The peak just to the left (the northeastern subpeak) is Chomo Lonzo. (2) The arrow labeled Gyachung Kang actually points to Ngojumba Kang. Gyachung Kang is further left---the last high point on that long dark ridge. (3) The annotation "South Face" on the Lhotse Face is misleading; that is the northwest face of Lhotse, not the south face, and the Southwest Face of Everest is not visible in the photo. The label should read "Lhotse Face". (4) The route line for the South Col route goes too high on the Lhotse Face (almost to Lhotse's summit). (This may be what the first comment was complaining about.) It should disappear behind Everest's upper west shoulder earlier on its way to the South Col.

Apart from those corrections, the other labels are correct. -- Spireguy 17:10, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
