The coordinate frames shown along with the anatomical planes (David Richfield and Mikael Häggström) is a left handed coordinate frame. Although not necessarily a problem, most work and most conventions use a right handed coordinate frame so is there are reason for this? Other coordinate frames I have seen in association with anatomical frames have been right handed although there appears to be no convention yet. If there is no underlying need for this left handed coordinate frame, could this be changed to right handed?

@W.Harwin: The axes were already in File:Human_anatomy_planes.jpg. Can you provide some reputable sources showing most conventions using a right-handed coordinate frame? Also, is it sufficient to change the direction of the Y axis? Cheers, cmɢʟee ⋅τaʟκ 23:43, 9 March 2022 (UTC)[回复]
