Menominee Sauk?

[编辑]

I know of «Menominee», and I know of «Sauk, Fox, Kickapoo, and Mascoutens» of which they form several different Sac and Fox nations and Kickapoo nations. But I have not heard of «Menominee Sauk» before. Considering that Sauk and Menominee, though both are Algonquian, are not similar enough to be mutually intelligible, but Sauk to Fox and to Kickapoo are, the numeric key for this image needs to be reverified. Chippewa?

[编辑]

Considering that «Chippewa» is a mere variation to «Ojibwa», do we have a duplication here of a single group in two areas? Or is «Chippewa» a misspelling, and the intended group is «Chipewyan» who are also known as the «Denesuline»? CJLippert (留言) 04:00, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[回复]
