Image size

Does anyone want to move the view of the world to either the left or right and down so that the image is less tall? Hyacinth (留言) 19:00, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

Making the image wider would reduce its effective size when displayed in Wikipedia articles as a standard thumbnail ([[File:Inuktitut dialect map.svg|thumb|220px]])... AnonMoos (留言) 10:05, 12 July 2014 (UTC)

The name seems to lead to some misunderstandings.

The innuits in the old world (i.e., in north-eastern Russia) are not included; but in spite of this I found the image included as representing the world population of innuit languages speakers. This is not so good, in my opinion.

Since changing the name of the file might have too far-reaching consequences, anyhow, possibly a modified file summary might help. JoergenB (留言) 16:50, 29 June 2015 (UTC)

Incorrect Iñupiaq

Iñupiaq has two macro-dialects: North Alaskan Iñupiaq and Seward Peninsula Inupiaq. Qawiaraq is a subdialect of Seward Peninsula. The territory of Seward Peninsula Inupiaq is also smaller than this map shows, which includes Malimiut dialect (a subdialect of North Alaskan Iñupiaq). --24.237.101.56 18:33, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
