Use of modern map as background[編集]

Wouldn't it be more appropriate to use a background map that is in context with the historical information that is being presented. The map currently used is modern and confusingly shows modern countries which did not during World War II. Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Slovenia and FYR Macedonia were all part of Yugoslavia; Italy's borders extended further east around the Adriatic and Israel and Jordan were both parts of the Mandate of Palestine. Map is wrong[編集]

Hallo, this map is wrong. In fact, southwest France, Tunisia and Corsica were occupied by Italy only in mid November 1942, after the American landings in north Africa (operation Torch). But by that time, the Italians were already withdrawing from Egypt after the El Alamein battle. Alex2006 (talk) 19:28, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[返信]

Agreed: Pretty much the same map is at File:GreaterItalia.jpg, with comments at the talk page there. Xyl 54 (トーク) 17:46, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[返信]
