Sources?[編集]

Hi @Rr016: , thanks for the new map. I'm not sure though all the information given in the map is supported by reliable sources, and I think in its current state the map doesn't meet the criteria of e.g. the English Wikipedia. For example, how did you come up with the routes that Wagner and Akhmat took in Ukraine? What are the sources for the Wagner conyoys to Millerovo and Buturlinovka? And I think it's pretty unlikely that the convoy got all the way to Kashira. The New York Times and Reuters say they only found evidence that Wagner reached Yelets and drew their maps accordingly.[1][2]Chrisahn (トーク) 22:52, 28 June 2023 (UTC)[返信]

You are right, the Wagner convoy likely didn't reach the borders of Moscow oblast. I initially based the map off the most recent version of https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wagner_Group_rebellion_2023.svg but that map was flawed, hence why I made this one. I updated the map to limit the Wagner convoy to Lipetsk oblast as other news stations reported.

Improvements[編集]

@[[User:ชาวไทย|ชาวไทย]: I got some suggestions:

1. Rename file and text on file to rebellion instead of mutiny as that was the consensus agreed upon

2. Draw a border around Crimea with a text along the lines of "Russian-occupied since 2014).

What do you think? :) Marginataen (トーク) 10:08, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[返信]

Drawing a border around Crimea would be incorrect. Parts of Ukraine have been occupied by Russian troops – some since 2014, some since 2022. There's no reason to treat them differently in this map. The June 2023 frontline is given, and that's what matters. A possible improvement: The frontline could be extended along the Dnipro to make that part more explicit and clearer. — Chrisahn (トーク) 10:21, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[返信]
I do think it's nice for the reader to know that Crimea has been under Russian control since before the Russian invation of Ukraine. The map used there does mak Crimea with a special red line along the lines of what I would like done to this file.
See . Your suggestion is not bad. Marginataen (トーク) 21:51, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[返信]
On that map, red lines mark all Ukrainian territories that were occupied by Russian troops before February 2022, not just Crimea. — Chrisahn (トーク) 22:00, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[返信]
