Are we sure that this plane is a B-29?
The engines appear “upgraded”… more akin to B-50s; the tail appears to be larger and taller than what the B-29s had.
The source says "USAAF" yet the marking on the plane reads "U.S. Air Force."
If the plane is indeed a B-50, would the date, 1947, still be correct? Was the image really “Created” on December 31, 1946?
Lastly, this photo appears in the B-50 category. Hmmm.
I could be totally wrong here. But, I just had to ask. Thanks.
