Going to Suggest Deletion[編輯]

The map seems Original Research, as there is no source for justifying cultural Balkan area. For example, no source justifies the colouring within Turkey. Why is the culture in Bursa different than Ankara? The map should stick to geographic definition. Bogazicili (對話) 15:20, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[回覆]

保留:Not original research but cultural influence areas (different from the purely geographical definition). Sure, today when only muslim Turks live in Anatolia, culture in Izmir or Bursa is not different than Ankara or Konya, but before that, when orthodox christian also lived on the margins of "Minor Asia", there was a cultural osmosis between them and the Ottomans. But above all, Commons' policy, expressed in COM:NPOV, is that if a file is used by Wikipedia (46 times for this one), we won't delete it just for being inaccurate. The question of which version is correct should be addressed on Wikipedia, not here on Commons. --Claude Zygiel (對話) 13:13, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[回覆]
So you are saying Balkan = Orthodox Christian. You need a reference for that. If true, then other non-orthodox Christian areas should be coloured differently, such as Albania. It also sounds very subjective, which breaks COM:NPOV you cited. This is also not an historic image.Bogazicili (對話) 17:42, 10 January 2021 (UTC)[回覆]
Moldova have the same culture, language, early history as Western Moldavia in Romania; Cyprus have the same culture, languages, early history as Greece and Turkey. So I added the both countries, even if some geographers placed Moldova (= Eastern Moldavia) in Eastern Europe, and Cyprus in Asia. --Claude Zygiel (對話) 12:29, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[回覆]
