Not Kennewick Man's skull

The object of this image does not show Kennewick Man's skull. The skull was never at Karlsruhe, Germany, as it was always under lock at the Burke Museum, Seattle, USA until it was reburied on 2017-02-17. This picture was taken after that date! --h-stt !? 14:06, 1 June 2022 (UTC)

User:H-stt: Casts were created and copied. This source says it's a "skull cast" at the Karlsruhe museum. You are correct the skull never left the United States. It wasn't deposited at the Burke museum until 1999, 3 years after discovery. During those three years at least 18 scientists did investigations before the work was suspended by the Corp (ie. Clinton administration). I did some Google searches for further evidence of a skull cast (replica, plastic mold) and couldn't find much, maybe there is more in German-language. -- GreenC (トーク) 21:12, 27 December 2023 (UTC)

Sources could be better. That's why more searching in German-language sites, to confirm if Karlsruhe, Germany museum had any history with Kennewick Man, might help to solve the mystery. There are reliable sources that confirm casts/replicas were actually made. [1]. This replica was made by Chatters who is the anthropologist who first studied the remains. Anyone can buy a copy for $439 .. I'm not an expert, but this does appear to be the same skull in our picture.
