Why only the EU? It shouldn't be very hard to find numbers for the other countries as well… (I know Switzerland (of course) has a very high number, and also Norway, and probably some other non-EU countries as well.) Jon Harald Søby 17:59, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[回复]

I find these modified colors a lot less clear to read - in addition they do not correspond to the color codes of the other European language maps (10%-19% on this map here is now in fact lighter than an equivalent color code of 5% for Italian or Spanish). Can the pre December 29th 2007 colors be reestablished? Sep. 2008 (UTC)

There is a province/state of Italy where German is spoken (Sudtirol area). Is that included on your map? It appears that all Italy is the same color. Also while traveling in Italy, where I don't speak the language, many seemed conversant on the surface level in German. I therefore question the color code. I believe particularly in the north, even to Venice that many people speak German in the high tourist areas. Mai 2009 (UTC)

Why on earth is Croatia on this map? It is not a member of the EU. Bogorm (talk) 16:33, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[回复]

The colors of this map are totally misleading! Compared to other maps like http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bestand:Knowledge_of_Italian_EU_map.svg or http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bestand:Knowledge_French_EU_map.png someone would think that german is muss less spoken in the EU than french or italian, but in fact just the colors for the lower levels (-5%, 5%-9%) are much clearer in the maps of the other languages. Please use similiar colorschemes for all this maps. --92.193.126.238 09:07, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[回复]

--77.20.35.167 12:06, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[回复]

1. Isn't there a german-speaking part in Belgium...?

2. Is there a reason for "dividing" Switzerland into its regions (as it seems) and other countries (like Belgium) are seen as one "homogeneous" country?

3. What does "-5 %" mean? People living there without being citizens of the state, but capable of speaking german?

I'm confused... - 1.
