A copy of this image also appears in Richard Pankhurst, The Ethiopian Borderlands: Essays in Regional History form Ancient Times to the End of the 18th century (Lawrenceville: Red Sea, 1997), p. 124. That image is taken from S. Tedeschi, Le portrait inédit du negus Lebnä Dengel ayant appartenu à l'historien Paolo Giovio.
