This new card got more details, but doesn´t know the difference between a traditional branch of islam ("traditional", because there are other branches today and because bottom on islamic beliefs, but not acceptet by all muslims) and a "madhhab" meaning a school of primarly islamic-scholar interpretation of - and also anchoring in - islamic scripts (quran and ahadith) in centre. Isn´t it? Please show reputable, neutral and scientific literature calling the Ismailis and "Others" (here esp. Alevis?, probaby others like Yezidis or Ahl ul-haqq?) as "madhhab", not as traditional islamic branch at all.--78.53.98.55 00:28, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[回覆]

Why is whole Iran in this map Ismaili territory? Shouldn't it be Imami /Twelver Shia?

Kerala (South India))

[編輯]

Please change the colour of Islam in Kerala (the narrow strip on the south-western coast of India) to blue. The Muslims of Kerala are Shafi'i, other than the whole rest of India. They were converted peacefully by merchants from Arabia, not by sultans and Sufis from Central Asia. They do not speak Urdu but Malayalam, the language of Kerala (of its Hindus and Christians too). They played a role in converting Indonesia, again peacefully as merchants, which is why Indonesia is Shafi'i.

I'm not a member of Commons, but you'll find me as "curryfranke" in the ordinary Wikipedia if you want to discuss.

Philippines

[編輯]

In the south of the Philippines there is also a majority of muslim population, it would nice if someone with knowledge can adapt this in the map. Cheers, --Lofor (留言) 09:33, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[回覆]
