In this image the eastern border of what is now Finland is wrong and does not represent the year 1700 as is said in the text but instead in the map is the eastern border of finland after the second world war. That error seems to affect almost all maps in Category:Historical provinces of Sweden and Finland, and those maps also show Salla as a part of Ostrobothnia even though it was counted as a part of Lapland until long after the Finnish War. There's other errors as well: sv:Orsa finnmark is shown as part of Svealand, but it is in fact in Norrland (it belongs to Dalarna County, however), Blekinge has another colour than Skåne despite both being conquered by Sweden in 1658, and the border between Norrland and Österland seems to be the southern border of Oulu Province, which was never, as far as I know, regarded as the border of Norrland. There are three possible borders between Norrland and Österland or later Finland:

1. Oulujoki, which was regarded as the eastern border of Hälsingland during the 14th century.
2. The southern border of Ostrobothnia.
3. Kaakamajoki and the watershed between Kemijoki and Tornionjoki.

However, I don't have the necessary general knowledge to judge which of these should be used on a map such as this, and I don't know enough about PNG editing either, but I would be very grateful if somebody else could fix this. //Essin (talk) 19:10, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

Hm, for some reason I mixed things up regarding Orsa finnmark: it's in the province of Dalarna (and thus in Svealand, as on the map) but not in the county. My other points still stand, though. //Essin (talk) 19:32, 4 November 2011 (UTC)

Värmland belonged to Götaland year 1700?
