Regarding the following comment from the file description page (slightly modified to get rid of the PD-template popping up):
Strabala is chief architect of Shanghai Tower, and has provided the image (and all future images of himself and his designs, that I post for him) as a {{PD-user|Marshall Strabala}} Public Domain image, per his permission email that I forwarded on 21 July at 8:14am Central time to the permissions email address. PLEASE note this image replaces the identical one that was deleted by Wikimedia.}} Note that Mr. Strabala is an American architect and US citizen currently living in Shanghai, China, but US copyright laws apply to this image, not Chinese.
(1) The meta information of one file should describe one file and not refer to other files. and all future images of himself[...] is subject to the permission email and not to this particular file. Pay attention to potential 3rd party copyrights, notably the architecture companies, if the work, e.g. a plan or a photo, was made for hire or as a work of joint authorship. Joint authorship is not relevant for architectural design but it is important e.g. for scaled models or drawings.
(2) The section regarding the permission forwarded is addressed in the OTRS pending template that i placed on the image.
(3) If the photographic work was released into the public domain (=all rights waived) it is not longer of importance what copyright applies. This photographic work is free of copyrights, anyone can reuse it anywhere, anytime, in any context for any purpose including commercial purposes without any restrictions except those restrictions imposed by law, e.g. personality rights. This applies worldwide, in China as well as in the U.S. --Martin H. (talk) 17:18, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[回覆]
