The author of this work is not acknowledged by the source, which is Cowan's Auctions, whom are selling the physical work. However, the work appears in the OhioLink database [1] listing the author as Frederick Douglass. I adjusted the author field to his, accordingly, unless anything else comes up. Douglass is also listed among the meeting participants, but not first.
- Description
I wrote to position this poster in a particular timeframe, that it came after the Emancipation Proclamation in January 1863. This is more or less implied by the source, but I don't think based on available information that we can find out when in 1863 this work was produced or published, especially given that OhioLink even lists the date as "1863?" marking doubt. So given this, if there are any objections, this segment of the sentence could be removed for accuracy's sake.
Also:
- A work of smaller dimensions (25.5x20cm) appears on Library of Congress, using the same/similar text, but the layout of the text is very different, and adapts a less broadsheet/poster-esque style.
