This discussion is whether the photographic reproduction has a right to its own copyright. As the fresco is obviously painted on a flat surface, I'd say no. --Fb78 10:12, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

It is quite obvious that this fresco is on a wall, technique and nature of surface and the cultural background make it almoust allmost automaticly a 2D-surface. Therefore PD-art does apply. If you never have been there, please inform yourself by reading Pompeii, Fresco. --Nemissimo 00:16, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
