That white base appears to be Elmer's glue

It is a common practice in these heavily-staged professional photographs of cereal in milk to use Elmer's glue instead of milk. This is clearly Elmer's glue in the image. It's pretty obvious, but the raspberry sitting on the glue gives it away the most. As an encyclopedia based on facts, and not an advertisement, this should be noted in all captions of the image. This is a picture of Elmer's glue with cereal and berries stuck in it used to illustrate what a breakfast of cereal might look like.
