Logo

Can we please remove that logo. It doesn't look good. And it's not free. Rocket000 02:22, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

Neither are any of the files in Category:CopyrightByWikimedia. As I've already said, OTRS is a very common software; OTRS is not specific to the Wikimedia Foundation. It is thus necessary to "personalize" this OTRS symbol with a Wikimedia-specific icon. You're free to upload the OTRS symbol alone (under a free license) without the Wikimedia logo, but the image used among Wikimedia projects must stay this one. guillom 08:48, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

It is not a matter of taste. I prefer the one without the Wikimedia logo too. But my or your taste is not the point here. Even if you "don't think we would have any other OTRS on Commons", I don't think I have to remind you that the goal of Commons is not to host images that are solely used on Commons. It is to be a repository of media that are freely reusable. If someone likes the OTRS image and wants to reuse it, we need something to identify our OTRS. guillom 08:30, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
