Map coloration

While OPEC membership is certainly useful information to provide, wouldn't it be far more helpful to differentiate other regions by coloring based on oil production levels? The current differentiation seems silly at best. US states, Canadian provinces and North Sea producers can all be differentiated by their simple location. The only conceivable confusion might be whether Denmark (eg) has wells in the North Sea, the Baltic, or the continent, but that still seems less important than actual production levels. -LlywelynII (talk) 10:08, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Sudan produces oil

British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Yukon & NW Territories produce oil. Nunavut has a number of proven discoveries which have technically "produced" in the process of well testing, and are awaiting the development of pipeline infrastructure.

The Liard basin in Northern British Columbia - which also extends into the Yukon, is a hotbed of exploration activity. These jurisdictions need to be further included as producing Canadian provinces/territories. There are also a number of exploration wells across all the northern provinces which have been drilled and capped awaiting the development of pipeline networks. Poland produces oil

Poland also produces (but does not export) oil, it has among others two oil rigs in the Baltic sea run by the Petrobaltic comapany. Poland probably produces around 500 000 barrels of oil a year. Mieciu K 00:01, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

US and Canada
