A couple of ideas for improvements[编辑]

Nice job, Mike. A couple of ideas for improvements...

The aspect of the Earth in this image is significantly misleading. The image is labeled as a "scale diagram" while showing a geostationary orbit in what appears to be a polar orbit, when in fact they are equatorial. This can be fixed by changing the view of the Earth to a polar projection.

Another change that might help would be to choose a different color beside sky blue to mark the LEO region so as not to give an appearance that the Earth has thick atmosphere all the way up there.--Tdadamemd (talk) 04:02, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[回复]

I agree about the picture of the earth - but I wasn't able to find SVG vector clipart showing the globe from the north pole, under a free/public domain license. If you can find such clipart, go ahead and add it! Mike1024 (t/c) 10:04, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[回复]
I've used File:Worldmap northern.svg and simplified it. About the color: There are two problems (that's why I didn't change it):
  • There are already all “common” colors: Black, green, yellow, blue and red. I was thinking using another green color, but people might confuse it with the GPS orbit.
  • You need to change at least two colors, probably two, which would screw up most descriptions.
