No offense, but, where in the description of "phosphene" it's supposed to look anything like that? It seems more like someone just made one of those optical illusions of "fake movement", and called it the representation of "phosphenes". I think it simply makes no sense, there's nothing in any description I know on how it is like a wavy/distorted sharply-delineated checkerboard pattern. It's just "light".
