So are you saying that this local broken copy prevents the Commons file from displaying? I wonder if it would be possible to use the Commons file by moving this one somewhere else. The file information page footer informs that this file is identical to File:Polygon types2.svg, so it isn't completely broken. There seems to be a bug in the software, with the local file delete I got a broken image (404) displayed in the article. I raised this on en:Wikipedia:Village_pump_(technical)#Broken_image_with_a_file_now_on_commons and it seem that its a known issue which will be fixed. I've tried most of the standard things like purging both pages. It might be posible to cure things by moving images, but given the bug it might mess things up even more. A duplicate file seem the safest way to get a working image in the Polygon article.--Salix (talk): 21:54, 13 September 2012 (UTC)

Very annoying. I added a {{keep local}} tag to the other image so that it doesn't end up getting deleted before the software bug is fixed. --Stefan2 (talk) 21:58, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
