I believe there is an error here. Gregory I (590-604) is most often depicted with a dove whispering in his ear, not Gregory VII (1073-1085), even though the latter did take his name in honor of the first Gregory.

I definitely agree, there is a mistake. This picture is to be changed because it represents Gregory the Great, Doctor of the Church, who lived aproximately 5 centuries earlier than GRegory VII, Ildebrando da Soana. (Elisabetta Digiugno)
