1. RG-59 is a rarely cooper over steel unless it is designed for certain aerial application. Fiber reinforced coax tends to be more often used in those applications. This images shows no signs of the steel core. 2. A coaxial cable is really a wave guide and thus referring to the outer conductor as a shield isn't accurate. 3.
