ISO 361?
[編集]Does any know whether this is the symbol described in ISO 361? If it is, it would be helpful for the description to say so explicitly. Mitch Ames (talk) 09:26, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
Not just Radioactivity warning sign
[編集]The usual yellow warning sign is actually NOT just a warning sign of radioactivity. It is a warning sign of Ionizing Radiation.
Ionizing radiation is a much broader category than just radioactivity. It is also caused by particle accelerators and medical equipment such as x-ray scanners or beam-cannons for example. It is true that radioactive radiation is (usually) also ionizing, but it is just a sub-group.
The categorization of this image (and many many others unfortunately) should therefore be changed accordingly. There are however international work in progress to introduce a new red warning sign of Ionizing radiation, so perhaps a bit of this sad mess will be easier to handle in the future. See here: [1]
