The information given here is most likely wrong. The guns are lowered down for direct fire. The battleship must be firing at Westerplatte, which was very close to it. The line of lire is horizontal.

After Westerplatte was taken by the Germans, Schleswig Holstein bombarded Gdynia from Gdansk. It had to rise its guns for indirect fire with much longer distance.

First two pics are from different angles, when Scheswig Holstein is firing at Westerplatte. Guns lowered. The third picture, where there's a caption in German, you can see that the guns "aim higher".
