Any particular reason to think these are Scottish solders and not Irish? The German text in the image clearly states that 800 Irish arrive in Stettin. 67.182.14.249

well, it ties back to actual units, which were Scottish, but comes from a time when Highlanders were called Erse as much as Hibernians were. More importantly, "Irren" now means "madman" at least as much as it does "Irishman;" that could be relevant, too.Anmccaff (トーク) 06:20, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[返信]
