Where did the data for this graph come from?

Also, the following needs correction:

  • Number formatting. Since the graph is in English, thousands should be comma-delimited, not space-delimited;
  • "XX Century" should be replaced with "20th Century";
  • "Tyumen'" should be replaced with "Tyumen" (with no trailing apostrophe at the end for the soft sign); per romanization conventions in English Wikipedia.

Other than that, great job!—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 15:48, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[回覆]

  • The sourse is Wikipedia and "Moy gorod" (not copyrighted)
  • Ok, I'll try to correct it. I think, it's better to remake from scratch, since this is my first try and is just MS Ёксиль => Adobe Illustrator => SVG conversion. Maps of Siberia are made in pure text mode (with some scripts).
But what worries me is that the graph gives a wrong idea about population dynamics. In the beginning of the century Siberian urban population was about 10%, in the end it is about 80%. So Siberia wasn't that rapidly populated as it may seem when looking at the graph, it was already quite populated before.
