Several spelling mistakes![編集]

I found some additional spelling errors. You can use this page of the Norwegian Polar Institute to verify the official names of places.
  • "Prins Karls forland" should be "Prins Karls Forland" (capitalization)
  • "Svenskeøya" should be "Svenskøya" (no 'e')
  • Similarly, there are loads of "land", these should all be capitalized. Note that "Karl XII-øya" is correct.
  • "Sjuøyene" should be "Sjuøyane". All place names in Svalbard for some reason use the minority nynorsk grammar, which gives -øyane endings ('a' instead of 'e').
  • Similarly, "Repøyene" should be "Repøyane".
  • "Erik Eriksenstredet" should be "Erik Eriksenstretet" (replace d with t, again a bokmål–nynorsk issue).
  • "Ekmanfjord" should be "Ekmanfjorden". Many English sources cut out the -en endings (the definitive article) after fjord names, but this map should consequently use one, and WP:UE says use the native if in doubt.
  • "Nordenskjöldbukta" should be "Nordenskiöldbukta" (replace 'j' with 'i' and 'ø' with 'ö'; the guy was Swedish, and the Swedish spelling is used).
Can't see anything else right now, after all most things are correct. I am highly impressed with this high-quality map and it made the article on Svalbard a lot better =) Arsenikk (talk) 13:03, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[返信]
