This is an odd color scheme. It would be easier to view if the colors chosen were on a gradient. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.155.32.242 (talk) 20:42, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[回复]

The way colour works in the human eye is that it produces a circular gradient. I tried to make the widest use of the colour spectrum (with blue as cold/low and red into purple as hot/high) to allow for the greatest ease of differentiation, which is what I believe the most important thing is. Hopefully when the new data comes out in a few months I'll be able to remove one of the graduations and this will make the colours a bit more distinct. --Korakys (留言) 12:51, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[回复]
My problem is there are too many categories; 13 colours is way too much to make sense to the human eye (e.g. you have to check the scale constantly as the shades are so similar). I'd like to suggest manually condensing the categories to 6 or 7, maximum. Or perhaps to use the Jenks natural breaks optimization method to come up with the number of categories and its limits; if you use R, this can be done with the plotJenks function in the GmAMisc library. – Tintazul talk 11:19, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[回复]
