Formally, Australia did not exist as a nation in 1900 but the person so ascribed in this photograph is likely from the colonial South Australian Navy. Yes there is a similarity in uniforms, but why would a colonial Australian be included, and not a Russian Marine, which seems more likely given the point and title of the picture. Wish the original source could be found more easily! Nickm57 (留言) 00:49, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[回复]
