Ich halte die Einordnung des Bildes für fragwürdig. Australier??? Wo ist denn der Soldat von Österreich-Ungarn??? --91.66.9.56 12:24, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[回覆]

I think there is a mistake - it is written Austria-Hungary soldier but it is a Russian marine on the picture (third from the right). And there actually are 9 persons on the photo and 10 in the description. One is too many :-))) --94.113.220.174 07:20, 8 October 2014 (UTC)[回覆]

I'm not an expert, but second from left looks pretty Russian, to me. I think the current soldier identified as Russian might be Austro-Hungarian. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 59.53.213.155 (talk) 01:19, 04 January 2016 (UTC)[回覆]

The third man from the left is Australian. He is a member of the Victorian Naval Brigades. See photos of comparable Naval Brigades stationed in China here: https://www.awm.gov.au/collection/C42288 --73.231.88.80 09:04, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[回覆]

Photographer was a German Officer[編輯]

The person who took this photo (and related photos) was a German officer present in China in 1900 and 1901. This French website says "The following photos are taken from an album of a German officer present in China in 1900 and 1901". This related photo of the same soldiers has the text "Orig. Aufnahme und Verlag Franz Scholz, Tientsin" which means Original recording and publishing Franz Scholz (Tianjin). So the author was probably the German Officer Franz Scholz in Tianjin. -Artanisen (對話) 13:43, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[回覆]
