USA and Australia[编辑]

It is my opinion that USA and Australia shall have a different color than the countries painted dark green, where you can just show up at the border control and show your Swedish passport. The ESTA and eVisitor must be applied for before the journey and can be denied even if they are legally not a visa. If the same color as eVisa can't be used, a new color is needed. I have noticed that there are many similar maps in Category:Maps showing visa requirements so maybe there is some other Talk page to have this discussion.--BIL (留言) 20:03, 29 August 2015 (UTC)[回复]

I understand but the US program is specifically called Visa Waiver program, plus you can actually just show up at the border control and show your passport, only not at the airport. When it comes to Australia, I personally agree, but that's not too relevant as sources say otherwise. The European Commission rejected all claims by member states that eVisitor is a form of a visa. Sweden did not even file a compliant, Bulgaria, Cyprus and Romania did. So while like I've said I agree with you, due to the no original research policy at Wikipedia where this file is used, we have to shape it as the external verifiable sources say. But in order to alleviate the confusion, map legend doesn't say simply "visa-free" for green but lists quite specifically the US and Australian systems under their trademark names - ESTA and eVisitor. So the green on the map stands not for "visa-free" but for "visa-free/ESTA/eVisitor".--Twofortnights (留言) 12:30, 30 August 2015 (UTC)[回复]
