Not really: for a seesaw to balance, we have to take into account the mass of each "particle" and its perpendicular distance from the pivot (i.e. the moment). This technique is used in w:locating the center of mass of an irregular object. The median takes into account the mass but not the distance. Cheers, cmɢʟee ⋅τaʟκ 15:35, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
