It’s not entirely clear to me what this map tries to show. Also, I don’t think the unexplained mix of solid colors, dots and stripes works at all, especially in thumbnails.

I assume the map is intended to visualize data that is called weekendStart and weekendEnd in CLDR of which I paste a current excerpt below. It has more and verified data than the map does. The element minDays effectively specifies whether ISO 8601 week numbering is being used (count="4"). — Christoph Päper 06:26, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

I agree...it's unclear what the source of this information is, and solid colors (Thu-Fri, Fri-Sat, Sat-Sun) would work better, especially for small countries which are pretty much impossible to see with the dots. -- Beland (留言) 16:11, 29 June 2017 (UTC)
