In this picture, the way the rat is hold is not correct. I think this rat is quite used to handling otherwise it could reach and bite the holder’s finger. To hold a rat, one needs to make a loop with the thumb and the point finger. Within this loop, the head and only and only one of the front paws of the rat should be held. The other three fingers of the same holder’s hand should be underneath the rat body so that it would feel stability and secure. In this way, no matter if the rat is handled before or not. There is no way for the rat to have maneuver in reaching the holder’s hand to bite. It should be considered that if the person is right-handed, the loop made with the thumb and the point finger should include the head and the left front paw of the rat. But, if the person is leftt-handed, the loop made with the thumb and the point finger should include the head and the right front paw of the rat. jamalmoshtaghian@gmail.com
