Birth certificates and passports in New Zealand are subject to different rules. A third option is available for passports on the basis of self declaration. Source. Issues with different federal (passports) and state (birth certificates) rules apply in the United States and Australia. Trankuility (留言) 05:18, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[回复]

State now includes Gender X from 1 February, 2018.[编辑]

Please colour Washington State (just above Oregon) purple, because the Washington State Dept. of Health passed a regulation to include gender X on documents from 1 February, 2018.

Here is the Government of Washington State Source: https://www.doh.wa.gov/LicensesPermitsandCertificates/BirthDeathMarriageandDivorce/RuleMaking News Item Source: http://edition.cnn.com/2018/01/04/health/washington-state-gender-neutral-birth-certificate/index.html — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 1.129.104.68 (talk) 04:58, 11 January 2018 (UTC)[回复]

When to add a place[编辑]

The Governor of Hawaii recently signed a law recognizing a nonbinary gender category, but it does not take full effect until 1 July 2020. Should this be added to the map now, then, or at some date in between if key state agencies are verified to have implemented the requirements of the law? --JamieCox (留言) 16:09, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[回复]

Idaho[编辑]

Please remove Idaho. The government signed a bill prohibiting all gender changes on 31 March 2020. Kaleetan (留言) 16:39, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[回复]

Chile since September 2018, Spain 2021?[编辑]

Hi, I'm collecting the countries in the german version of the "3rd gender":

I read that Chile officially recognizes a 3. gender since September 2018, and that Spain just recently changed the laws to make gender changes easy. But I'm not investigating or evaluating those things, so just wanted to let you know. --Chiananda (留言) 02:43, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[回复]

The entire United States and its territories should be blue[编辑]

On April 11, 2022, United States nationals will have the option to self-select X (unspecified or another gender identity) as a gender marker on their passport. I'm sure someone will eventually color the US blue. I hope someone reading this will also color U.S. territories blue. People born in Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands are U.S. citizens, and people born in American Samoa are non-citizen U.S. nationals (who can still get a passport). 2600:1700:1261:79F0:6108:F2B0:A7EF:570B 02:54, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[回复]

Passports are something different I'd say, otherwise the entire Brazil should be blue, since our passports can have an X when selecting unspecified option Tazuco (留言) 21:47, 23 April 2022 (UTC)[回复]
