I think something is wrong in this picture... If I'm not wrong, the remote machine does not need an X server, nor a Window manager, because the clients on the remote machine, receive their inputs directly from user's workstation and also the output of remote clients directly shows on user workstation (via network). The X server and Window manager on the user's workstation should handle all inputs and outputs; Is that correct? Bkouhi (talk) 15:15, 1 October 2013 (UTC)[回复]

Pretty much, it's just a bad diagram. The old version is a simplified picture of something that could actually happen, and should IMO be reverted to (or a version of it) - David Gerard (talk) 18:08, 1 October 2013 (UTC)[回复]
