The Fountain of the Fallen Angel or Monument of the Fallen Angel is in the Retiro Park (Jardines del Buen Retiro) in Madrid, Spain. The sculpture named The Fallen Angel was made in Rome by Ricardo Bellver (1845–1924) in 1877 and then cast in bronze in Paris for the Exposition Universelle of 1878. Later on it was decided to locate it in the Retiro Park and thus architect Francisco Jareño (1818–1892) designed a pedestal of granite, bronze and stone. The whole monument was inaugurated in 1885. Dimensions (whole): height, 7 metres; length, 10 m; width, 10 m. Sculpture's height: 2.65 metres*. There is a polyester resin replica of Bellver's work at the Museum of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando (Madrid).
